piolo_pascual_decades Piolo Pascual release an album under Star Records entitled “Decades: The Greatest Songs of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s,” featuring the carrier single “Babe. ”With a classics-inspired packaging, the CD contains 12 of his must-keep photos, lyrics of featured songs and a calendar. His 12-track album contains standard songs from different decades like ‘50: I’ll Be Seeing You, Beyond The Sea, True Love, Are You Lonesome Tonight; ‘60: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’, If I Fell, Strangers In The Night; and ‘70: Just The Way You Are, Your Song, Terminal and its carrier single, Babe. Piolo also co-produce his album together with Jonathan Manalo and Star Records.

Laarni Lozada

laarni_lozada_album Laarni Lozada, a Filipino pop, ballad, classical, soul singer and a winner of Pinoy Dream Academy (Season 2), launched her self-titled album, on November 27, 2008. She has just released her first album whose carrier single is “Kung Iniibig Ka Niya”, which was penned by one of the most prolific hit makers in the Philippines Vehnee Saturno. The song Kung Iniibig Ka Niya is the theme song of the latest ABS-CBN soap opera entitled Kambal Sa Uma. She is set to release her second single, a revival of the hit song Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita which was originally sung by Roselle Nava. The album Scholar’s Sing Cayabyab has been certified with a gold award. It includes Minus One Of All The Songs and the Bonus Track: track #6.

Cariño Brutal

cariño_brutal Slapshock’s newest album titled "Cariño Brutal" was released in 2009 via PolyEast Records. Its is a double cd package, an audio and a dvd of the band’s latest road tours in Canada and the U.S. in 2008/2009. Take a trip with the band as they take you behind the scenes, the struggles and the successes of their wonderful musical journey experience in North America. The album is self produced by the band and recorded at Evil Clown Studios at Project 6, Quezon City with Lean Ansing as sound engineer… J.D. Wong (PopShuvit) did mixing chores brilliantly at Stuio 21:05 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was then mastered in San Francisco, California, U.S.A by mastering genius John Greenham.

Falling in Love (Album)

The album, which is composed of revivals, brings Rachelle Ann back to her roots after she experimented with a more upbeat style in her previous album, Rachelle Ann Rocks Live!. The album has produced two revival hits, “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” and the OPM piece, “Let the Pain Remain”. As of December 13, after eleven months from its release, Falling in Love was awarded the Gold Certification by VIVA Music and PARI for outstanding sales of more than 15,000 units. “This is the kind of music that best reflects who I am and where I am right now in my life,” says Rachelle Ann. “All the albums that I’ve done are very special to me, but this one is the most special so far. I think people will understand why.”

Paano Na Kaya? (Album)

bugoy_drilon_paano_na_kaya The first album of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 first runner up, Bugoy Drilon. It has 12 tracks in which the last 6 songs are the minus ones of the first 6 songs. The album has been awarded a gold record plaque on July 19, 2009. Paano Na Kaya is the first single from Bugoy Drilon’s first album having the same title. The song was composed by the Headmaster of the Pinoy Dream Academy (Season 2), Ryan Cayabyab for the album, Scholars Sing Cayabyab. The song peaked at number 1 in some radio charts in the Philippines like WRR 101.9 and Radyo Natin. The song won the Senti Award in the 1st Waki OPM Awards by the WRR 101.9. Muli is an original song by Rodel Naval. It is the 3rd track from the album and the second number hit of Bugoy after Paano Na Kaya. The song is also one of the soundtracks of ABS-CBN’s Philippine remake of the Korean drama, Only You. The 3rd single of Bugoy and the 3rd consecutive number 1 song of Bugoy in the WRR chart.
