Sarah Geronimo is a Filipina singer and actress. Born in a poor family in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines, Geronimo first appeared on national television in 1992 on a children’s TV show Pen-Pen de Sarapen, and went on to star in ABS-CBN’s children’s show called Ang TV in 1996.
She gained fame when she joined a national singing competition called Star For A Night where she emerged as a Grand Champion of the show. After she won, she received 1 million in cash and a contract with Viva Management. Following her contract, Viva’s owner Vicente Del Rosario became her manager.She established herself as a pop artist in the Philippines when she released her first album, Popstar: A Dream Come True, where she recorded her first singles Forever’s Not Enough, If Only, and Sa Iyo.
