SHINee’s dance fits perfectly with Lee Hyori’s ‘U Go Girl’

SHINee danced along to Lee Hyori‘s song with their “magic dance”.

On May 9th, MBC every1‘s “Weekly Idol” aired the second episode of their SHINee Special. On this episode, SHINee showed off their “magic dance” which has been a hot issue since their debut.

SHINee’s ‘magic dance’ is the choreography from their debut track “Noona You’re So Pretty“. SHINee’s fans named the choreography the ‘magic dance’ because the choreography seems to fit perfectly with any song you put it up against.

In the past, SHINee’s ‘magic dance’ garnered interest online with a series of parody videos showing SHINee’s choreography with music of other K-pop songs including IU‘s “Good Day“, B2ST‘s “Mystery“, Lee Hyori’s “U Go Girl”, and Jung Jun Ha‘s “Chicken Soup“.

SHINee showed off their “magic dance” on air for the first time, performing their “Noona You’re So Pretty” dance to Lee Hyori’s “U Go Girl” and it matched perfectly.

Celebrity K-Pop Singers Share Sparrow’s Diets with Fans

A small portion of steamed cabbage, four small pieces of sweet potato and a chicken breast smaller than the size of his fist are what Jun-ho, a member of K-pop idol group 2PM, revealed on his Twitter to be his daily diet, which he consumes as a single meal.

Until recently, low-calorie diets have typically been the preserve of girl group members, who make considerable efforts to stay trim. However, more male celebrities are now sharing their diets on social network services such as Twitter.

Singer and producer Park Jin-young twitted a picture of his meal comprising nuts, fruits and a multigrain shake made with soy milk on April 21. In February, singer Jang Woo-hyuk shared his daily diet of black rice, watery soup, a tiny chicken breast and vegetables on his me2day account.

In principle, male celebrities usually unveil their meal plans because the public prefers men with well-sculpted bodies. But those in showbiz say there might now be other motives. Lee Kyung-sun, CEO of cultural marketing firm With Culture, said, “It seems that male celebrities want to become more intimate with fans and gain more attention by letting people know how they maintain their fitness.”

One staffer with a public relations company said, “By showing how hard they work on themselves and keep abreast of the latest trends, they are enhancing their image. It’s a kind of image marketing strategy. There is growing acknowledgement of how effective this can be, so there are management agencies that tweet pictures of their celebrities exercising or adhering to very strict diets.”

‘K-Pop Star’ winner Park Ji Min dislikes standing next to Baek Ah Yeon?

K-Pop Star‘ winner Park-Ji-Min confessed that she did not like standing next to Baek Ah Yeon on stage during the audition program.

Park Ji Min, who had made an appearance on the May 8th episode of SBSStrong Heart‘ along with Lee Ha Yi and Baek Ah Yeon, revealed her role model to be none other than singer-actress Noh Sa Yeon, who also appeared on this week’s episode. ”I really, really like her. She’s very strong-willed and the way she’s always full of confidence makes me want to become more like her.”

As Noh Sa Yeon often jokes about her not so slim and feminine appearance on shows, the emcees questioned Park Ji Min if she had ever felt stressed about her appearance next to Baek Ah Yeon. The guests broke out in laughter as Park Ji Min replied with a deep sigh that seemed to express the emotions she had kept pent up inside. She explained, “Ah Yeon unnie has a beautiful figure- she’s tall and has a small face, but she’s always standing next to me! I really dislike that!

Comedian Jung Ju Ri then remarked, “I heard this while I was in the waiting room today. After Park Ji Min saw Baek Ah Yeon in a tube top dress, she expressed her envy saying, ‘I would have worn a tube top dress too if I was skinny.’ This happened while she and Lee Ha Yi were eating cheese kimbap,” giving viewers another round of laughter.

K-pop star Kim Hyun Joong reaches out to 3000 fans

SINGAPORE – For once, after a K-pop gig, almost everyone stayed glued to their seats.

There was excitement in the air as each fan waited for his or her moment at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The moment to get up close and personal with their idol.

Korean star Kim Hyun Joong then shook the hands of or high-fived everyone in the 3,000-strong crowd on Friday night.

And he did that right after having performed for two hours, singing hits such as Kiss Kiss and I Am Your Man, and playing games with his fans.

No surprise then, that in the one hour and 15 minutes that it took for him to complete his unenviable feat, he was seen supporting himself with his other hand on the table.

At times, he was seen massaging his chest with his free hand, his face showing signs of weariness.

Nevertheless, he continued to smile and greet every fan.

A fan was overheard remarking, almost out of pity for Kim, that not once did he wipe his hand even when it was a given that he must have touched plenty of “disgusting, clammy palms”.

It may have been his first-ever fan meeting and mini concert in Singapore, but how Kim reached out to every single person at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will be remembered for a long time to come.

Will Smith is a fan of the Wonder Girls

On May 7th, actor Will Smith attended the perss conference for his movie, ‘Men in Black 3‘, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Seoul and made the reporters burst out into laughter over his comment on the Wonder Girls.

When asked who he thought was most like an alien, he replied, “I talked about this with my daughter and she thinks the Wonder Girls are like aliens.”

Will Smith remarked, “My wife and daughter are very interested in international music. They told me about Wonder Girls, and I am a fan. I’m very simple when it comes to my taste in music, and so I don’t know too much about K-Pop.

Wonder Girls members Hyerim Sunye walked the red carpet and joined Will Smith on the stage at Youngdeungpo Times Square.

When asked why he was holding his world premiere in Korea, the actor replied, “I remember holding a successful promotional event for one of my movies 10 years ago in Korea. While working on this film in the States, there were a lot of talks about promoting in the world market. As Korea is one of the emerging film markets of the world, I felt that Korea would be most fit for our world premiere.”

He added, “This is actually my second time in Korea, as I previously visited the country during the World Cup in 2002. I’m here this time with my wife and daughter, and they’re both out enjoying Seoul right now. I’ve slept since arriving last night so I haven’t been able to enjoy Seoul yet, but I hope to meet a lot of people and feel it for myself.”
