Magician Choi Hyun Woo surprised SNSD members with his magic show.

On a recent recording of ‘Star King‘, Choi Hyun Woo showed off his magic tricks that were bordering on the supernatural.

SNSD’s YoonA was shocked when Choi successfully changed clear water to coffee. It wasn’t just the color, but the smell and taste also changed, which kept the audience in awe. In addition, Choi moved Jessica’s autograph card in a bottle without opening it.

Additionally, Choi is also able to take ordinary forks and spoons and bend them at will.

This episode will air November 27th at 6:30 PM.

As they have been learning the ropes on how to become an air stewardess alongside others during the filming of their reality show, “T-ara Dream Girls“, over the past few weeks, some T-ara members took their examinations towards become a fully qualified stewardess today.

T-ara members Qri, Hyomin, Eunjung, and Jiyeon took their stewardess exam on the morning of November 25th on board airline Jin Air which was headed for Jeju Island.

The girls worked in pairs (Qri, Hyomin)(Eunjung, Jiyeon) alongside their trainers, and applied what they had learned which included showing the flight safety instructions, pouring of refreshments, making in-flight announcements, helping passengers with their luggage, etc.

Check back in future to see how well they’ve done in the upcoming episode of “T-ara Dream Girls.”

2NE1′s leader CL and maknae Minzy revealed their baby pictures for the first time ever through Star News on November 25th.

Girl group SISTAR will be delaying the release of their third single due to the Yeonpyeong Island skirmish.

SISTAR was set to release their title track, “How Dare You“, for November 25th, but decided to delay it instead. A representative of Starship Entertainment revealed, “In consideration of the social atmosphere, we will be delaying the release of their single album. We ask for fans to understand this decision, and we will be updating later on with the altered release date.”

Through Twitter, the members expressed, “Our hearts hurt so bad. To Sergeant Seo Jung Woo and Private Moon Kwan Ok, may they rest in peace for protecting our country. We pray that there will be no more victims.”

The “2010 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards)” is coming up in just four days, but the recent events in South Korea have caused many to wonder whether the event would continue.

The Yeonpyeong Island skirmish has already put the entertainment industry on notice, with album releases and other showcase events being delayed, as well as TV broadcasts and variety programs either being canceled or replaced with breaking news reports.

In response to the situation, Mnet stated, “We feel unfortunate about the Yeonpyeong Island event. We’re also being careful since the industry is depressed and has been canceling many shows. Yet, we have also prepared for the ‘MAMA’ ceremonies over the past few years; we will continue to observe future developments on the issue, but go ahead with the ceremony as planned.”

They continued, “We’re still currently discussing whether we must change other details and concepts of the ceremony in consideration of the social atmosphere. There are unfavorable factors, but we are working that much harder in order to perfect our ceremony and make sure that it is a success.”

One of the biggest issues for the MAMA organizers is the large amount of Hallyu stars that will not be attending. Regarding this, Mnet replied, “This year, it was impossible to change the date, but we will be able to change future dates so that they don’t overlap with music programs. And just because some stars don’t attend doesn’t mean they won’t be rewarded.”

Despite criticisms for spending $4 million USD on a program ‘made for another’s dinner table,’ the influence and power of Mnet’s overseas expansion is becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss.

Mnet Media’s CEO, Park Kwang Won, revealed, “Each country’s music industry is advancing at a fast rate and the qualitative power of everyone’s content is amazing. It’s dangerous to trap the K-Pop fever in just Hallyu alone. We have to advance ‘Hallyu’ to ‘Asianllyu, and ‘MAMA’ will be the start of that. In about 5-10 years, I plan to bring the American and European music market to Asia.”

Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga-In revealed her honest thoughts on getting eyelid surgery.

On MBC’s “Good Day“, Ga-In was asked what she would do if she was asked to get eyelid surgery. She answered, “I can’t do that now.”

She sure can’t because she has made a name for herself with her beautiful mono-lid eyes.

Indeed, for her new sitcom, “All My Love“, Ga-In plays the role of a college student who is self-conscious about her eyes.

Ga-In said, “If I wasn’t famous, I might not have appreciated my eyes and gotten eyelid surgery. I saw that people told me not to get eyelid surgery on the Internet. I also found a photoshopped picture of me with double eyelids, and it didn’t look that great. I guess I have to keep these eyes.”

We’re glad to see that some celebrities realize beauty isn’t equivalent to double-lidded eyes.

Song Seung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Im Ye Jin, Ryu Soo Young, Lee Soon Jae, Park Ye Jin, and other actors got together on November 20th to read for their group script recital session ahead of the broadcast their upcoming drama, MBC’s “My Princess” which will air in January 2011.

The drama is a classic romantic comedy, so Lee Soon Jae cracked a lot of jokes to break the ice at this script reading.  This is Song Seung Hun’s first attempt at a romantic comedy, so it may be a challenge for him, and Kim Tae Hee was seen laughing a few times about her witty lines.

The actors got along great even though they met for the first time, and you could feel their hard efforts.

The production staff said after the session, “The characters and actors really match well. The actors are working well together so we have high hopes for this drama.”

Brown Eyed Girls member Ga-In, who’s become a triple threat with her ventures in singing, acting, and guesting on variety shows, recently revealed that she has the most fun when filming ‘We Got Married’.

On this week’s episode of MBC’s ‘Good Day‘, Ga-In confessed, “There was a time when I didn’t get much sleep. I was really busy from having to perform at a Japanese concert, record our album, shoot ‘We Got Married’, and even film for ‘All My Love‘.”

When asked which schedule she enjoyed the most, Ga-In expressed, “To be honest, ‘We Got Married’ is the most enjoyable, because it’s not tiring. I like it the most because I get to play around and be my true self.”

Regarding her new sitcom, the singer said, “At the moment, I feel it’s more difficult than it is fun, so I still get nervous. You never know though – once I get used to it, sitcom filming might become the most enjoyable.”

Ga-In is currently acting as a main character for the daily sitcom, “All My Love”, alongside her ‘We Got Married’ ‘husband’, 2AM’s Jo Kwon.

An internet ulzzang star that trained with Big Bang’s Seungri, KARA’s Goo Hara, and 2NE1’s Minzy has revealed that he will be debuting as part of a four member idol group next year.

Haemin attended a famous private music school in GwangJu alongside those three, and made the decision to become a singer after seeing his classmates pursue their dreams.

His ‘wealthy’-looking image has already earned him plenty of fans online; Haemin is currently rehearsing intensively in order to become “the 2nd Seungri” with his exceptional rapping skills.

BBO Entertainment revealed that he will be debuting early next year with fellow ulzzang star Jion (Kim Byung Ho) as a four member group.

Despite earlier speculation from the Japanese media hyping the participation of SNSD, KARA, and Big Bang in Japan’s annual music ceremony, “Kohaku Uta Gassen” at the end of the year, official word from NHK states that the three groups will not be attending.

On November 24th, “Kohaku’s” official homepage was updated with the names of the 44 groups who would be attending the ceremony. Fans eagerly scanned past SMAP, L’arc-en-Ciel, AKB48, Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki and many others, only to find that Korea’s popular idol groups SNSD, Big Bang, KARA did not make the list in the end.

Much attention has to focused on their potential participation, so fans were unfortunately left disappointed with their idols’ absence from the “Kohaku” line-up.
