SEOUL: Want to know who is dating whom in the K-pop industry?

Korean girl group Dal Shabet told Korean media over the weekend that they had once seen “three idol couples dating at one time”, and revealed two simple tips for would-be showbiz Sherlocks to deduce who are K-pop’s dating couples.

The sextet – which consists of Viki Kang, Serri Park, Cho Ah Young,Yang Jiyul, Cho Ga Eun and Park Su Bin – said the first thing to look out for when trying to dig up dating celebrity couples is to see which idols are holding promotional activities at the same time.

According to the Dal Shabet, K-pop stars generally have very tight schedules which prevent them from getting to know many people outside of work.

They apparently spend the most time interacting with fellow idols backstage before they appear on television shows during their promotions phase, so there is a much higher chance that idols with similar lifestyle patterns will take a liking to one another and start dating.

The other tip the girls dished out was to look out for K-pop idols that have very close friends of the opposite gender.

Dal Shabet claimed that idols who are in a relationship would try to appear very close friends with their celebrity partner, in order to prevent them from being hit on by other people.

Although they have offered advice on how to discover secretly dating K-pop couples, the girl group refused to say which idols are currently dating.

“Use these two tips and look around. They should be easy to spot,” said the group, which debuted earlier this year.
