Gaon K-Pop Awards Winners: Secret, IU, K.Will

On the 22nd was held ‘The 1st Gaon Chart K-pop Awards’ in Seoul.

The nominees for this year’s monthly singer award were Secret, IU, and K.Will. The chosen music were Secret’s ‘Shy Boy’, IU’s ‘Only I didn’t know’, and K.Will’s ‘My Heart is Beating’.

January’s winner Secret said, “We’re thankful enough to be here but we’re even more thankful that we were able to be awarded. Thank you for loving us and our song ‘Shy Boy’.”

February’s winner IU said “I thank my company and my family, and to YunSang Sunbaenim. I will try harder from now on.”

March’s winner K.Will said “Thank you for such a grand award. I will try my best this year as well so that I will be standing in the same place next year.”

Meanwhile, the producer of IU’s ‘Only I didn’t know’, YoonSang, and the producer of ‘Good Day’, Kim Yoona, caught much attention.

YoonSang said, “I thank IU for having expressed so well her feelings as a teenager who just became a woman”, and Kim Yoona said, “I thank all the singers who were able to express their feelings well. I thank my most respected producers YoonSang and Lee MinSoo.”
