Lee Seung Gi is a South Korean singer, actor and MC.
Scouted by singer Lee Sun Hee, Lee Seung Gi was trained for 2 years before debuting on June 5, 2004 at the age of 17. Because You’re My Girl, his debut song from his first album The Dream Of A Moth, was a very popular ballad and created a “liking older women” syndrome in South Korea. With this song, he won the “Best Newcomer” award in various music awards ceremonies in 2004 (such as M.net KM Music Festival, SBS Music Awards and MBC Best 10 Singers Music Festival).

He was also an entertainment news programme (娛樂新聞眼) presenter at TVB as well as host of the music show Jade Solid Gold in 1992 before releasing his first album (愛的解釋) in 1994. From that day, he became a Cantopop singer. He is one of the few Cantopop artists who makes use of falsetto (假音) – Because of this, many people, including David Tao, have praised his unique talent. He is the first singer to have won all four newcomer gold awards from Hong Kong’s radio/television stations. Early in his career he was nicknamed 古怪基 by the media, a pun on his name’s pronunciation, literally meaning Strange Kei due to his strange appearance on stage.

MBLAQ, (an acronym for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) is a South Korean quintet boy band created by Korean pop R&B singer Rain under his label J.Tune Entertainment. The members include Seung Ho, G.O, Joon, Thunder, and Mir. The group debuted in October 9, 2009 at Rain’s Legend of Rainism concert. On October 14, 2009 the group released their debut single album, “Just BLAQ”, which topped various on-line and off-line music charts in South Korea. The group then released their second single Y in May 18, 2010.
