Rescheduled dates for Taeyang’s concerts announced

Idol group Big Bang singer Taeyang’s first solo concert has been rescheduled for September 25 and 26, according to his agency YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun-suk on Tuesday.

The concert, originally set for September 4 and 5, had been postponed “for more time to perfect things for the show” with the singer being busy with promotional work in Japan and shooting a commercial with his five-man band.

2PM’s Concert Rapped for Sexual Content

The South Korea Ministry of Gender Equality and Family said it received complaints from the public rapping the 2PM concert last July 31 and August 1 as containing sexual acts that are unfit for kids.

The concert was rated for eight years old and above but it turned out that the performances by 2PM members were deemed inappropriate by the Korean public.

Junsu’s a member in the South Korean dance/pop group 2PM. Junsu is known as the lead vocalist of the group. He is originally from Daegu, South Korea. He originally auditioned for YG Entertainment, where he befriended G-Dragon and Tae Yang of Big Bang. He was accepted into both YG & JYP Entertainment, but chose to take the path of JYP in his final decision.

Sandara Park Outranks G-Dragon

Sandara Park of 2NE1 has climbed to the top spot on the Mnet weekly chart for the first time. Her first solo “Kiss” finished first on the second week of September, just nine days after it was released on the internet. The “Kiss” music video, first introduced on September 10th and starring Lee Min-ho of the “Boys of Flowers” fame, is also sweeping the online music sites.

Other entries in the Mnet chart’s top ten ranking include G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker,” which fell two steps to third place, and “Love Rain” by Kim Tae-woo, which climbed 20 notches since last week. Baek Ji-young’s “My Ear’s Candy” is still going strong at 7th. Legendary Lee Seung-cheol’s “Love Is So Hard” has risen 40 places in the chart, ranking in at 8th place.

Dong, Young-Bae (Korean: 동영배, Hanja: 東永裴, born May 18, 1988), better known by his stage name Taeyang, is a hip hop musician and a member of Big Bang.

Taeyang was a child actor starting in 5th grade. He was recruited at the same time as G-Dragon, at the age of 13 to play the part of mini Sean in the A-Yo MV. After that, he auditioned to join YG Family, having been impressed by JinuSean. His chosen stage name was YB Taekwon, which is either a reference to JinuSean’s Taekwon V album or to the giant robot Taekwon V.

His rapping debut was in YG Family’s second album in 2002. In 2003, he participated in Wheesung’s second album, rapping on the track Player. He performed with JinuSean, Swi.T, Lexy, Masta Wu, Se7en and YG Family, and took part in Wheesung, Gummy, Se7en and YG Family’s One concerts.

Kwon, Ji Yong (Korean: 권지용, Hanja: 權志龍, Born August 18, 1988), better known by his stage name G-Dragon, is the leader of the Korean musical group Big Bang. Yong means dragon in korean and Ji sounds like “g”, hence, the stagename, G-Dragon. He began training under YG Entertainment at the age of twelve. After six years of vocal and dance training he made his debut in 2006 as part of Big Bang.

Big Bang is a Korean musical group made up of five Korean men. When they first debuted, they were considered to be the new face of the YG Family, a pet name for their management company YG Entertainment. Although their debut was somewhat successful, it was not until the release of “거짓말” (“Lies“) that the group gained mainstream success. Big Bang have been noted for their music as well as their fashionable clothing, becoming famous throughout the country in the process.
