Nicholas Teo, born November 29, 1981, also known as Nicholas Zhang, is a Chinese-Malaysian singer signed under Play Music. Before returning to Malaysia, Nicholas was studying in Taiwan, where he won the Best Singer in a competition among all the Taiwan universities. Thereafter, he was approached and asked if he would sign up with a company as a back-up singer (backing vocalist, to harmonize with the lead vocalist), which Nicholas subsequently ignored.

While in Vancouver, she attended the New Talent Singing Awards Vancouver Audition in 1998 with her birth name of Hsiao Ya-chih (蕭雅之). She became one of the 12 finalists but did not place in the top 5. The song she sang was CoCo Lee’s “Love Me A Little Longer (Chinese: 愛我久一點)”. Also in that competition there were 3 other Taiwanese recent singers, 183 Club member Jacky Chu 祝釩剛 (who was the winner), DJ Ruby Lu 盧春如 (1st Runner-Up) and 蜜雪薇琪 (Michelle*Vickie) member Michelle Hsu (now known as Mimi or Michelle).

He once PKed with Peter Pan when “Four Princes of Superstar Avenue” (星光四少) came to Singapore. He caught the attention of many people because of his high pitched vocals and falsettos. He is also well-known for his humorous character and speech. He never fails to say Chinese idioms in every week’s competition.
Wong gotten a 6th position in the competition and was voted as the most popular contestant. He performed 5 songs in a One Million Star concert show in LA. His performance was highly commended by many.
