Shinee

Shinee is a contemporary R&B South Korean boy band. Formed by SM Entertainment in 2008, they made their debut on May 25, 2008 on SBS’s Popular Songs with their promotional single, “Noonan Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)” (“누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)”, lit. “Older Girl, You’re So Pretty (Replay)”). The group consists of Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Since their debut, Shinee has won numerous awards. They have also starred in their own reality show based on their song, “Noona Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)”. Shinee is considered to be a fashion icon having started the “Shinee Trend”.

TVXQ – Wrong Number

“Wrong Number” is a single from TVXQ’s fourth South Korean studio album, released on September 26, 2008. The album had been in production since 2007, but the title was not decided upon until January 2008.  The album is #1 in Korea top 200 position and highest selling album in 2008. The album has version A, B and C. In South Korea they are known as Dong Bang Shin Gi[4][5] (동방신기); they were later introduced in Japan as Tohoshinki (東方神起, Tōhōshinki?) under the Avex sub-label Rhythm Zone in 2005. Their name translates as "The Rising Gods of the East". TVXQ’s musical style consists of many genres such as pop, R&B and dance; they are also known for singing a cappella.

Micky

Park Yoochun, better known by his stage names, Micky, Micky Yoochun (in South Korea) and Yuchun (ユチョン, Yuchon?) (in Japan). He is a Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and occasional actor. He is a member of South Korean boy band TVXQ.

Micky was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, until his family immigrated to the United States when he was in the sixth grade. He lived in Fairfax, Virginia, where he attended Holmes Middle School and Chantilly High School. He was scouted by Brothers Entertainment and went back to South Korea, where he joined SM Entertainment. He has a younger brother named Park Yoohwan.

Hero

Kim Jaejoong, better known by his stage names, Hero, Youngwoong Jaejoong (in South Korea) and Jejung (ジェジュン, Jejun?) (in Japan), is a Korean singer-songwriter, composer and occasional actor. He is a member of South Korean boy band TVXQ, known as Dong Bang Shin Ki in South Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan.

Hero was born as Han Jaejoon (한재준, 韓在俊) in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. At a young age, Hero was given up for adoption by his birth mother to the Kims and his name was changed to Kim Jaejoong. When he was fifteen, he moved to Seoul by himself in order to take part in the auditions held by SM Entertainment. Life in Seoul proved to be hard for Hero and he had to take various odd jobs to come up with the ₩150,000 needed for the rent. He once took on a role as a soldier in the movie Taegeukgi Hwinallimyeo (태극기 휘날리며); with the money he acquired from the job he used the money to buy gum, which he sold to a female employee at a supermarket.

It's Love – Girls' Generation

“It’s Love” is a duet performed by Girl’s Generation’s Taeyeon, and Sunny. it is part of Heading to the Ground OST. “Heading to the Ground” (written by Kim Solji, Kim Yaeri, directed by Park Sungsu) is a drama that is attracting much attention due to its main lead role being played by the singer-turned- actor: Asia’s Star, U-Know Yunho (Jung Yunho) of TVXQ.

Motion – Girls' Generation

“Motion” was a crash project taken on my Girl’s Generation in the midst of all their activities. The song is the work of Composer Kim Jin Hwan, the creator of albums such as “Ocean”, “Fly Together”, “Onion”, “Lin/Rin” as well as of the duet piece by Girl’s Generation’s Jessica and SHINee’s Onyu, “After A Year.”

It is also part of Heading to the Ground OST, which stars U-Know Yunho (Jung Yunho) of TVXQ.

Sung Min

Lee Sung-min (born January 1, 1986), better known mononymously as Sungmin, is a Korean pop singer, and actor. Sungmin is also a martial artist, being one of the two members of the group to frequently perform Chinese martial arts in Super Junior‘s dance routines, the other being Han Geng.

Sungmin was born in the Ilsan district of Goyang, Gyeonggi. He has a younger brother, Lee Sungjin. He entered the 2001 SM Youth Best Contest and jointly won first place for the Best Outward Appearance award with future band mate Donghae. Together, they signed a contract with SM Entertainment and began to receive training in singing, dancing, and acting.

Kang In

Kang In 05Kim Young-woon (born January 17, 1985), better known by his stage name Kang-in, is a Korean pop singer, actor, MC, presenter, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. His name ‘Kang-in’ (Hanja: 強仁), meaning strong benevolence, was given to him to complement his personality.

Kang-in was scouted by a talent agent and was recommended to sign up for SM Entertainment’s talent competitions. In 2002, Kang-in won first place on the fourth annual SM Youth Best Contest and won the best outward appearance award and signed a contract with SM Entertainment.

Mirotic

The choreography of “주문-Mirotic,” the title track of the album, was done in a collaboration between Korean choreographers and Kenny Wormald, who had also worked with pop stars Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera. The song features a “reverse beat” track, meaning that the bass beat is either a half beat or a whole beat late in coming into a new phrase. While in most genres of music, the bass note comes in directly on the first beat of the measure in setting the chord of the phrase, reverse beat songs alter this usual method. In doing so, the reverse beat genre is said to have an effect of “growing on” the listener, having an addictive sound.

Mirotic Album

Mirotic is TVXQ’s fourth Korean studio album, released on September 26, 2008. The album had been in production since 2007, but the title was not decided upon until January 2008. TVXQ members Xiah Junsu and Max Changmin participated directly in the making of the album, penning the lyrics for “노을.. 바라보다 (Picture of You)” and “Love in the Ice”, respectively. In addition, members Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun composed and wrote the lyrics to “사랑아 울지마 (Don’t Cry My Lover)” and “사랑 안녕 사랑 (Love Bye Love)”, respectively, for version C of the album. Three days after its release, Mirotic became the best selling album of the year. On November 15, 2008, the album won the album of the year award at the 2008 MKMF Korean Music Festival awards.
