CHICAGO — Rock band X Japan made their U.S. debut at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago last Sunday, attracting a crowd of around 20,000 in the summer heat.
The band serenaded the audience with classics such as “Kurenai” and “X” before leader Yoshiki tore up the drums and rampaged around stage at the end of the set.
The band announced that its U.S. tour will start on Sept 25, with Yoshiki saying that “The rocket’s been ignited.”
